aus: "Mathematics for Economics and Finance" von Anthony/Biggs (London Schoolof Economics), Cambrige Univ. Press,
"In the first half of the twentieth century determinants played a very prominent role in every mathematics course. Many people who were later to become famous economists took such courses, and consequently they sometimes used determinants in their work. However, it must be stressed that anything in this book which can be done with determinants can also be achieved using the easier and more efficient techniques developed in the previous chapters."
und an anderer Stelle: ... For this reason Cramer`s rule is not to be recommended as a practical technique".
